We have an opportunity with our Operations group:

Assembly Technician

We design and manufacture systems to enable voice and data connectivity on board aircraft.
As part of a small team you will build, modify and test a wide variety of TrueNorth products and assemblies in line with aviation quality standards.

Additional tasks can include:

  • Configuration of software and hardware at final assembly and test of outsourced product.
  • Assisting in the fault finding and repair if required of customer returned product. 
  • Final product verification and certification of product conformance.
  • Performing incoming inspection, receiving and test of vendor-supplied assemblies and components.
  • Assist with prototype builds as required.
  • Assisting with packing and shipping, and other activities as required.

Skill Requirements
Electronic Assembly

  • Basic soldering of electronic components including passive components and fine pitch active components to IPC standards.
  • Modification of printed circuit card assemblies with track cuts and jumper wires.
  • Mechanical assembly of electro-mechanical assemblies using procedures and basic tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, or socket drivers.

Test and Debug

  • Test products per defined procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot failed products at the assembly level using schematics, bills of materials, and diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and multi-meters and document findings.


  • Able to perform in a work environment with multiple priorities.
  • Able to communicate effectively with engineering, operations and management staff.
  • Able to manage and use relevant product data from our ERP and PLM systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years of Mechanical and Electronic assembly in a low volume high mix production environment.
  • Experience in faultfinding and execution in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Active participation in a small team environment, proven ability to self-regulate and complete assigned tasked in a timely manner
