Connections made simple for ten years

It all started with a phone.

Ten years ago, Mark van Berkel founded a communications company, TrueNorth Avionics Inc., to make better phones for business jets. Existing solutions just didn’t perform well and MagnaStar, a legacy system, was nearing the end of its life. Mark’s idea was to use emerging Voice over IP (VoIP) technology to design and build a phone with better sound quality that would be easy to install and operate. Initial success led to customized phones, a market TrueNorth continues to dominate.

Since its beginnings in 2006, the company has delivered cabin communication systems to Heads of State, Top 40 musicians, royalty, financial leaders and many other clients. TrueNorth systems are installed in the most exciting business jets: Challenger, Global Express, G650, Falcon, BBJ and the A320 family. Today, TrueNorth continues to grow and evolve as a trusted supplier to avionics OEMs.
